These users are Atheists who have grown smug through their general feeling of superiority in logic. They claim that their method of reducing the complexity of the natural world by dividing it into component parts makes analysis of any and all questions possible. They claim that this method not only provides us with a framework of understanding the universe, but also provides us with general analytical skills that prevents people being completely fucking stupid.

They can often be seen swinging their fists wildly and screaming at people who do not accept evolution as fact. This often occurs on Friday nights after a few too many $4 imperial pints at PJ O'Brian's.

S.M.U.G.

Spontaneous Malignant Ulcer Generation (or S.M.U.G.) is the scientastic term given to the phenomena of otherwise benign atheists suddenly growing militant. S.M.U.G. is not a phenomenon limited to Atheists, some demographics known to be particularly at risk of contracting S.M.U.G are;

• Scientonomists
• Baptist Preachers
• Chritians
• Atheists

The prerequisite mental condition leading to S.M.U.G. requires that the victim have unwavering belief in their particular idea. S.M.U.G. usually occurs in those individuals who are surrounded by people with differing beliefs and feel that their particular set of beliefs could be threatened. For example, Scientonomists are constantly worried that some day someone will think critically about Scientonomy. Conversely Atheists fear a return of the inquisitions or at least the arrest of scientific development. While Baptist preachers fear that their children's children might be able to reconcile a belief in god and science by determining that the bible is allegorical and hence not 100% fact. The victim then becomes emboldened in their beliefs and their militant stance is fuelled by the resistance it generates.
