Hmmm, it reminds me of something Eric was telling me about his time in the S.E.S. Whenever they were looking for (presumably) living person it would be termed a "search". If they were looking for a (presumably) dead person it would be termed a "recovery". Recovery's weren't the most enjoyable of undertakings. This has the hallmarks of a recovery. In the top bar of buttons for inserting bolded text, images etc, there is a little squiggly line button next to the red circle with the line through it. Turns out this is an auto-insert-signature-with-timestamp button.

I've also recently discoverd that if you go to your preferences page, go to the user tab, enter your signature template into the "nickname" field, and tick the "raw signatures" tickbox then save it, the auto signature/timestamp button does what it's done for me below.
