Hell-ED

The Hell-ED was recovered from the ruins of a once-influential temple of higher thought. It is thought to be the creation of a far superior intelligence or time traveller, and specifically delivered to a location in space-time where its discoverers were guaranteed to find it, setting in motion a whole chain of events ultimately resulting in the Future Wars.

It is speculated that the Hell-ED is to play a direct role in ending the Future Wars, thus being the beginning and end of that set of happenings. Its current location is a mystery, its reappearance being an omen of a new Golden Age.

Hell-ED Ball

References to an ancient sport, called Hell-ED Ball, were found encoded in the brains of several of the artefact's discoverers. According to legend, the four-player sport was only played at one point in history, and is still, objectively speaking, the greatest game in existence.

Since the Hell-ED is required for this game, it is unlikely to be enjoyed again until the end times. It is written in the stars that Hell-ED ball will be played once more on the ruins of the Earth.
