[edit] Purpose of Mindcloud Wiki

The purpose of the Mindcloud Wiki is to link humans together and unleash their creative powers. It exists as a place for humans to share information, ideas and cultural treats. It will provide a basis for collaboration on all sorts of projects. The wiki is a constantly evolving website, which will serve as part of an alternative but culturally relevant media source.

To some it will merely be an interesting diversion, to some a blog or a journal. Others will leap on the opportunity to carve out their own Universes of information, and exploit every bit of code that they can.

Mindcloud Wiki will host locally created media, art, film, writings and just about anything else, where other hosting isn't possible.

The Mindcloud Wiki is a project of the Mindcloud Organisation. It is likely to be compared in some ways to Wikipedia. For some ranting on how it is not like Wikipedia, see this.

  • Domain mindcloud.org is hosted with Dreamhost
  • Both the domain name and hosting are currently in the name of Tristan Miller. This will be handed over to the incorporated association representing Mindcloud once it is established.
  • Bandwidth: 2000GB per month, increasing by 16GB per week (currently 1024GB)
  • Hard disk space : 200GB, increasing at some rate.
  • Running costs:
    • Domain registration: $20 per year (est.)
    • Hosting costs: $150.00 per year (this is why we need you to Donate)
