This was a fantastic idea thought of by my flatmate Sidd so i put it here.

Aim

To confuse the public transport using... public and to induce joy through singing.

Materials

• Several people, i'd say a minumum of 3
• a portable stereo
• perhaps some sunglasses to hide possible embarrassment
• BIG smiles and happy voices.

Procedure

1. Pick a bus or train route, preferably at a rather busy time.
2. Gather a bunch of friends, hereafter referred to as the experimenters.
3. Position a few experimenters at a bus/train stop early in the bus route, but not at the very first. This group should carry the stereo. Position a couple of other experimenters at various stops after, in groups of 1 or 2.
4. The first group of experimenters should board the public transport vehicle and turn on the stereo, playing the theme music of the current ad campaign for the adelaide metro ("Get Up and Go"). The group of experimenters should sing along joyfully to the song.
5. At each stop, more experimenters will get on the vehicle and join in the merry chorus.
6. When the vehicle reaches its destination, the group should join together and act all celebratory, throwing around comments about how great public transport is.

Expected Outcomes

1. To cause at first awkward looks from others, though eventually laughter and possibly people joining in the singing.
2. In reality, probably being kicked off the bus/train

Results

None as yet since the experiment has yet to be performed.
