Agreed. The author can encode it in their favourite format (or maybe in one of a few common formats, like mpeg or wmv or mov). A readme should also be included in the torrent containing instructions on the software requirements. This sort of readme could be available from protomindcloud so the author can just download it and add it to whatever torrent. The idea really is that people with even limited computer skills can access the content somehow...using bittorrent works against it enough, without people having to guess what program they need to run a file.
