Talk:SC:NOT HR Math

(Extracted from http://wiki.mindcloud.org/wiki/SC:NOT_HR_Math ;-D)

This was originally posted by me on the corporation forums in June 2006. The topic was the single biggest waste of time and energy I've ever experienced and I think the lecturer who took i has since lost her job. Good riddance.

The article shall be reformatted to comply with SC:NOT standards later. In the meantime I've a language to learn and girls to hit on.

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been awarded a Barnstar!

For this truly sexcellent article.

What were the units of oldHR and newHR?

Also, consider Rapeseed's Proportionalitude (dimensionless form):

A\propto\dfrac{k_p N}{I_{SMUG}^2}

where A = your actual ability to successfully orchestrate a 'hit-on'

kp = personality constant (normalness, 0 < kp < 1)

N = the number of languages/modes of communication you possess

ISMUG = smugness index

The dependence of A on N might seem like good news for Dr Boy and his multi-lingualities. However, this is not the case as

I_{SMUG} \propto N^{13}

and

k_p \propto N^{-1} (except in Europe, where this relationship is Gaussian)

Hence, Rapeseed's Proportionalitude reduces to:

A \propto N^{-26}

which does not bode well at all for the Doc.

Two questions;

1 - From which orifice did you pull these equations? Although I do agree that in the particular case of Japanese it is easier to hit on girls in English because it seems cooler and you can organise to meet them more privately later under the pretense o studying the native tongue.

2 - What has this to do with HRM?
