Things on your user page
Well, most of this stuff is you-centred. But some of it could be categorised/linked to through other ideas that lead off of general areas from the main page or whatever. Making it more accessible. Interesting coordinates for example. Lead from something about 'universe exploration' or something, say. -Leo Auri
Tristan as mascot
These photos are fantastic. You should apply them to some purpose, taking over the world, for example. -Leo Auri
Ahoy
I see you are online. Now downloading skype.
Ahh! 'edit' appears in an annoying place!
Yes that [EDIT] is somewhat obtrusive. I have been looking for a way to deflect it.
Also - a Flash extension is being 'rolled out' at this time. It will allow the addition of flash movies to this site using <swf> tags.
- Sweet.

Shit that I just want to say on your discussion page
It has taken me over a week to work out how to turn on stylus pressure sensitivity in photoshop cs3. Bless you photoshop! ....Blotoshop.
I also need to speak to you about site monies, and all that jazz.

Interesting positioning of the "Awards and Commendations" part on your profile page. It probably makes it a bit more sense and visually a bit more appealing with them at the bottom of the user page. Those templates are awfully large and take up a large part of the screen and the page don't they? Perhaps we should do something about the templates and maybe reformat them to make them smaller and / or more visually appealing. What you think?
More questions and thoughts
I've been pondering a way of making the user characteristics templates (the king of greece, Newton templates etc.) smaller and prettier.
These are my thoughts: Make it so that there is a small, compacted, pop-out version of the templates which can be put at the bottom of the user page or off to the side. One would click on a small link at the top or bottom of the awards section which would make the larger, more detailed version of the award "slide out " or pop out.
Another way of explaining it would be to think of it working somewhat like the contents list at the top of a wiki page, where it has a "hide" and "show" button which either hides the contents list or shows it. The awards list work work in a similar manner: You click on the link and it changes it back and forth from the smaller, better looking but not as detailed awards list to the larger, uglier, but more detailed awards list.
What do you think? Do you think it would be very difficult to create such a thing? I've noticed that the contents box for wiki page uses java, so I presume that this could be done in a similar manner.

Hey scrote. You should scrub all mention of dates and time from the front page and do something so that the four tildes throw up a nonsensical or at least non-standard date and time. If we are to control time, we should start by flipping it off. Gilganixon 08:06, 29 April 2007 (GMT)
QUESTION:
How do I edit the RSS feed page? There is no edit button, or any other button for that matter. Where is it hiding and how do I get to it?
Also, I think it would be neat to put the top ten general discussion box on the rss page as well, perhaps in between the Mappedup map and the actual rss feeds, and set the top ten discussions to automatically hide.
P.S: The mappedup map looks very very cool.

For Your Information
Beyond the Red Line
Physics
---Why doesn't BtRL use absolutely true-to-life Newtonian physics?
Because the show doesn't. If you watch the show, you'll notice that sometimes a Viper will make a quick thrust and spin all the way around instantly - other times they'll jink and move about like they were in an atmosphere. One of the most common occurrences of a "non-real" situation is where a Viper is going at like 300 miles per hour, then spins around and stops within five feet with just a quick thrust burst from the main engines (see: Scar episode). The physics in the show are directly related to what looks the coolest - simple as that. They don't use real-life physics, so neither will we. We will, however, try to make it as close as possible to the show, and real life where it is allowed - which is what I believe we've done, although I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement.
If you want real-life physics, play IWar2 and you'll see what they're like. If you already have, then you can see - that's not BSG combat at all. Granted, the ships are massive, and all the guns are on gimbaled turrets, but the combat would be basically the same - joust until you score a couple lucky hits and kill the other guy. It's a fun game, but the combat is, again, not very much like the show at all.
---What's the deal with Glide?
Glide basically locks your momentum in one direction and allows you to spin around while still going in one direction. It's useful for firing behind you, sharpening turns, etc.

Mission Editor
The game comes with a reasonably simple to use mission editor (same one which came with freespace 2, which i've played around with before), so we can potentially make our own missions. At the moment though there's very few in game assets (only the Mk2 and Mk7 vipers, cylon raiders, asteroids and the mining ship), so there's only so much variety in what you can make at the moment.

P.S: Beyond the Red Line rocks.
I see your crazy edits. Go on IRC. For great justice.
I found your camera, who would have thought it would have been sitting on a cupboard at eye level? I've also lost your number which is why I'm using mindcloud to send you the message. I can guarantee you the safe return of your camera, I cannot however guarantee that the memory will not be filled with home made porn when it is returned.
